Working Terms
Plain-English version. Email me if anything is unclear. Last updated: 20 August 2026.
1. Payment
- Your first monthly payment is taken before design work starts.
- Payments are recurring monthly on the agreed date.
- There is no setup fee on standard builds.
2. Minimum terms
- Starter: 6-month minimum.
- Business: 12-month minimum.
- Shop: 12-month minimum.
- After the minimum term ends, the subscription rolls monthly and can be ended with 30 days notice.
3. When the term starts
The minimum term starts on the project start date, not the launch date. If content, feedback or approval is delayed, the subscription continues while the project is paused.
4. Ownership
- You own your domain, content, photos and supplied assets.
- The website design and build is part of the monthly package.
- The site is released for transfer once the minimum term is complete and the account is fully paid up.
5. Hosting
Monthly packages include managed hosting on the platform I look after. I do not build subscription sites on third-party hosting. If you need your own hosting, I can quote that as a one-off build with ongoing support agreed separately.
6. Support and edits
- Small edits and updates are included within the package.
- Larger content, copy or design changes can be quoted separately if outside the included scope.
- Anything that touches your bank or domain account directly is handled by you.
7. Delays and pauses
If I am waiting on content, feedback or approval for more than 14 days, the project may be paused. Payments continue during the minimum term because the build slot and time have been reserved.
8. Launch and handover
The site will only be launched, transferred or made available for handover while the account is fully up to date.
9. Ending the subscription
After the minimum term, you can end the subscription with 30 days notice. Before the minimum term is complete, the agreed payments still apply.
10. Agreement
These terms are a summary of the working agreement. The full version is confirmed in writing before any work starts.
