Website Management

Already have a website that needs looking after?

I can sometimes take over care and maintenance for existing WordPress sites. I start with a paid site check so I know what I am taking on, then quote a monthly management plan if the site is a good fit.

How taking over an existing site works

Existing websites can hide old plugins, broken forms, missing backups or years of messy fixes. The check comes first so neither of us walks into a surprise.

01

Paid site check

I review the WordPress set-up, hosting, plugins, backups, forms, basic security and obvious performance problems.

02

Clear recommendation

If the site is healthy, I quote a monthly plan. If repair work is needed first, I price that separately before anything starts.

03

Monthly care

Once agreed, I handle the regular checks, updates, backups, small edits and practical website support.

Typical scope

Website management, not general admin support

This is for keeping your website stable, updated and useful. It is not inbox management, day-to-day business admin or social media posting.

WordPress updates

Core, plugin and theme updates handled carefully, with backup checks first.

Backups and uptime

Basic monitoring and recovery planning so the site is not left to chance.

Small content edits

Text changes, image swaps, new sections and small page updates agreed in the monthly plan.

Forms and fixes

Contact forms, obvious errors and small website problems investigated and sorted where possible.

Domain and email help

Domain management and business email hosting can be included or quoted separately when agreed.

Basic SEO hygiene

Titles, descriptions, redirects, sitemap checks and small on-page improvements.

£99 one-off

A practical review before I agree to manage an existing WordPress site.

For sites needing regular edits, form support, small improvements and closer care.

Sites I may not take on

I may decline sites that are badly hacked, built on unsupported software, heavily customised without documentation, or hosted somewhere that makes proper maintenance difficult. If that happens, I will explain why and suggest the cleanest next step.
